Romeo I about to leave for Mantua because he says he hears a lark which is a morning bird, however Juliet says he should say as it was a nightingale which is a morning bird. Romeo tells her that will stay and be killed and calls her bluff. The nurse barges in and says her mother is coming so Romeo rushes out but as he slips down the building Juliet says that he looks like he is in a tomb. Lady Capulet comes in and tells Juliet that she and her father have arranged for her to marry Paris. Juliet doesn’t like this and says she would rather marry Romeo her enemy, which is dramatic irony.  And when I do, I swear It shall be Romeo, whom you know I hate, rather than Paris. Capulet enters the room and becomes enraged when she tells him no and threatens to disown her if she doesn’t obey him. When Capulet leaves Juliet asks her mother to help but she says no. Juliet tries to speak with the nurse but she says maybe she should marry Paris, Juliet pretends to agree with her but when she leaves says she is an old bag and that she will ask Frair Lawrence for answers.
